A Real Horse Person

You Know you are a Real horse person when . . .

You walk into a nice restaurant with your friends (after a full day of riding horses) wearing a dirty shirt, jeans, and boots and you really don't care.

You often sneak into the local laundromat and pretend that you really didn't just put that stinky, filthy horse blanket into the comforter-sized machine.

Your horse gets new shoes more often than you.

The car you drive everyday has not been washed in months, but the truck and trailer you use on weekends is washed before and after almost every trail ride event or horse show.

You always have new foal or horse pictures in your wallet. And, you have more pictures of your horses in your office than you do of your family.

You have seriously considered an even trade of your 2012 Buick for a 2000, one ton diesel crew cab dually pick-up truck.

When in a hurry and you are trying to pass someone in a crowded hallway, instead of saying "excuse me", you sometimes cluck at them instead.

You meet a friend or business associate for breakfast and they reach over the breakfast table to pick hay out of your hair.

You get your income tax refund and the first thing you do is plan for a week of lessons with your horse trainer.

You'll drive an hour in a rainstorm to ride your horse, but God forbid you have to drive 15 minutes to the store to buy groceries.

You consider a pristine golf course as a true waste of good pasture land.

No one wants to ride in your car because they'll get sweet feed and hay all over their clothes... But hey, that's OK!! You'd have to rearrange all the horse tack to make room for them anyway!

To be sure, the first bills you pay each month are all horse-related.

And, when you choose your new dog, you always choose the best breed for your horses.

And finally, when your boyfriend or spouse complains that you love your horse more then you love them, You answer . . . "And your Point Is?"

If you idenfity with at least 75% of the above statements, then you are a REAL horse person.
