Acton, Ca
The town of Acton has a rural western theme which can be seen in its homes, commercial buildings, and historical buildings (some of which date back to the late 1800s). The town is a small island in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles County. Heading north on the 14 freeway and exiting on to Crown Valley Rd., you enter into another time. Go north or south on Crown Valley you will notice a few homes along the main road. Each home has a lot no less then 1.5 acres, most being at least 5 and up. But best of all Acton has the trails. Most of the homes are directly off a trail or have very easy access to them. Between Angeles National Forest, Bureau of Land Management and privately owned land, Acton has endless miles of open terrain, even at some points connecting to Pacific Crest Trail.
This
residential community of approximately 2500 residents,
has an elevation of 2,720 and is located in the rugged
Sierra Pelona mountains. It is off the Antelope Valley
Freeway (Highway 14) near Palmdale. Acton is roughly 20
miles northeast of the San Fernando Valley, and 47
miles north of downtown Los Angeles. You will find a mix of large custom ranches to smaller, more humble mini-ranches. Home prices range from the low $300,000 to over $1,000,000. Depending on what your hearts may desire.
