Minnesota Horse Properties | Minnesota Horse Facilities

Minnesota's name comes from the Dakota word for "clear blue water". Owing to its large number of lakes, the state is informally known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes". Minnesota is known for its idiosyncratic social and political orientations and its high rate of civic participation and voter turnout. Until European settlement, Minnesota was inhabited by the Dakota and Ojibwe/Anishinaabe. There are almost unlimited horse trails in Minnesota. Check out www.traillink.com for a complete list. A popular trail of dirt, grass, and gravel is the Agassiz Recreational Trail, a 52 mile trail that runs parallel to Hiway 32 and 102. Another is the Arrowhead State Trail which is 135 miles long.
